Botox for TMJ Disorders

Dr. Adler is our Botox® specialist! She is certified for the administration of Botox® by the American Dental Association, in partnership with the American Academy of Facial Esthetics. Botox® injections in specific facial muscles allows patients get jaw pain and headache relief. Botox® works by relaxing these muscles so they cannot clench or grind as hard as they used to. This helps the muscles relax and starts the process of retraining them, giving the patient relief. In conjunction with your first TMJ Botox® treatment we also provide a custom-made night guard to cushion the clenching at night time.

Same Day Crowns

Single Visit Crowns

CEREC technology allows us to provide you with permanent crowns within one week of tooth preparation. Using a digital scanner, we can mill our crowns in-house so that you can get the smile you want even faster. This allows us to use custom shading and tints to make your smile uniquely yours. This eliminates the need for those fun impressions for the laboratory and allows our dentists to design a crown that is esthetic and strong.

Dental Implants

Dental implants are the gold standard of tooth replacement. They will never decay and are considered a life-long restoration as long as they are properly maintained. A dental implant is essentially a titanium screw that is placed in the jawbone. After the screw is fully integrated with the bone (typically, an average of 3-4 months), the crown portion can be placed. Above the gumline, it will look and function as any other natural tooth would!

The first step in considering dental implants would be a consultation to see if you are a candidate. We may work with an Oral Surgeon to ensure the best possible outcome. At times, bone grafting or sinus lifts may be needed to prepare the site for the implant. Dental and/or medical insurance may help cover some of the needed procedures.

The benefit of implants is that they do not come in and out like a partial would, and they will never get a cavity! Proper oral hygiene will aid in the longevity of your dental implant. Call us today at (765) 642-9811 to schedule your consultation to find out more!

Dentures and Partial Dentures

Dentures

Dentures are used when a full arch of teeth is needing replaced. Whether you are looking to have teeth removed and a denture placed, or need replacement of an aging denture, we are here to help!

We offer 2 solutions if tooth removal is needed: a conventional denture, and an immediate denture.
Conventional dentures can be completed if a patient is already missing a full arch of teeth. However, if teeth still need to be removed, this would need to be done followed by 4-6 months of healing time. Once fully healed, the impression process can begin. This option is good for those who already have missing teeth, or have many broken teeth, and/or are at higher risk for infection.

Immediate dentures are an option for those that do not wish to go without their front teeth during the average 2-3 month healing time. With immediate dentures, the patient would have posterior (back) teeth only removed. Then, the average 2-3 months of healing would take place. Once able, we would begin the impression process (with front teeth still in place). Once the denture is completely ready for delivery, the patient would come in for removal of the remaining front teeth, and the denture would be placed the same day. In this case, the patient would not have to go any time without front teeth.

Partial Dentures

Partial dentures are used when only some teeth are missing in an arch. A partial denture would fill in the spaces with one appliance. This is also a removable option, similar to a full denture. However, because some natural teeth will remain in the arch, the partial will use clasps to stabilize by holding on to existing teeth. This process can also be done as an immediate partial, similar to the immediate denture process.

Root Canal Therapy

Root Canal Therapy has come a long way. Typically, a root canal is needed when a cavity has gotten large enough to effect the nerve of the tooth. This is what causes a person to have a toothache and/or swelling. Other times, root canals are needed to treat a nerve due to tooth trauma.

Either way, the tooth can be treated comfortably and most of the time, in just one visit. Dr. Stratman and Dr. Adler are very experienced in root canal treatment, as they are completed daily in the office. Call us today at (765) 642-9811 to schedule your consultation to find out more!
