Cosmetic Dentistry

People choose aesthetic dental procedures and surgery for various reasons: To repair a defect such as a malformed bite or crooked teeth; treat an injury; or just improve their overall appearance. Whatever the reason, the ultimate goal is to restore a beautiful smile.

For these and many other reasons, cosmetic dentistry has become a vital and important part of the dental profession.

Common aesthetic dental procedures can be performed to correct misshaped, discolored, chipped or missing teeth. They also can be used to change the overall shape of teeth from teeth that are too long or short to those with gaps or simply need to be reshaped.

Some of the more common procedures involve:

Bonding - We use this tooth-colored material to close gaps or change tooth color.

Contouring and reshaping - We routinely straighten crooked, chipped, cracked or overlapping teeth.

Whitening and bleaching - We offer take home bleaching trays or in-office Zoom!® whitening. Zoom! is a bleaching process that lightens discoloration of enamel and dentin. The complete procedure takes less than an hour. The procedure begins with a preparation period followed by as little as 45 minutes of bleaching. (A cleaning is recommended prior to the actual Zoom! whitening session.)

LUMINEERS® - These porcelain veneers that offer the painless way to a permanently whiter and perfectly aligned smile. We can apply these ultra-thin "smile shapers" to teeth without any grinding or shaving, transforming teeth into a naturally beautiful smile that looks perfect for every individual. LUMINEERS can even be placed over existing crown or bridgework without having to replace them.

Unlike traditional veneers, LUMINEERS are contact lens-thin and are placed over existing teeth without having to remove painful tooth structure, making it the painless, permanent cosmetic solution for stained, chipped, discolored or misaligned teeth.
